Stella Maris Algeciras continues to develop its mission of supporting seafarers arriving at the port, offering human support, care and assistance to crews during their stay.

Every morning, the team carries out daily visits on board vessels berthed at the Port of Algeciras, with the aim of understanding the needs of seafarers and providing listening, guidance and personal support.

In addition, Stella Maris provides transportation for seafarers from the ships to the centre, thanks to the support of ITF, whose collaboration contributes to the transport service and the journeys required to assist the crews

In the afternoons, the centre remains open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Thanks to the collaboration of the Algeciras Bay Port Authority, Stella Maris has a welcoming space where seafarers can rest and receive support. Although the centre is still in its early stages and afternoon visits are currently limited, the service is already operating and continues to grow with enthusiasm and commitment.
